Welcome to the December edition of the CEPS e-zine. This time of the year lends itself to taking a moment or two to reflect on the year gone, and best prepare for the one ahead. In considering the achievements of the Centre of Excellence and the peer support workforce more broadly, we have every reason to be optimistic, and look to the future with confidence.
2012 saw the Centre of Excellence in Peer Support continue to build an in-depth collection of research and resources, thanks to the generous contributions of local, national and international peer support leaders and thinkers. This wealth of information forms the core of the CEPS project, and is utilised in a number of ways to support the development of the peer workforce. At one level, anyone can independently access these resources as a way to enrich their knowledge and practice; many have also contacted CEPS to ask a question, or seek assistance in finding the right materials. In 2012, CEPS has responded to requests from as far afield as Canada, Scotland and Israel; many more queries have also been received from within Australia, and (of course) Victoria.
